Sustainable signage for Herts Uni

The University of Hertfordshire has wholeheartedly embraced the environmental agenda. In 2007 it was ranked third place out of more than 100 UK universities in the Times Higher Education Supplement league table based on environmental performance.

When commissioning new corporate signage for their multiple campuses sustainability and energy-efficiency were major considerations. The signage solution delivered by Castleton exceeded expectations.

The new signage utilises colour changing LED illumination. LEDs are an incredibly effective and energy efficient light source consuming far less electricity than neon or fluorescent tubes.They are also much more robust, further reducing ongoing maintenance and running costs.
